NPCC Volleyball adds player from Alliance

The North Platte Community College volleyball team has its first recruit for the 2022 season. Avah Steggall, of Alliance, has committed to play for the Knights. The announcement was made Friday by NPCC.

"I chose to attend NPCC because, from the moment I stepped onto the campus, it felt like home," Steggall said. "Everyone was so welcoming, and it had that small town feel of family but is also in a city with great opportunities. I wanted to continue my education and volleyball career with a college that provides these things and has a great support system for all their students and athletes."

The 6-foot, right-side setter had 122 kills during her senior season. Steggall led her team with 44 serving aces and was third on her team for total blocks with 43. She also led her team in assists, 423, and assists per set, 4.8.

"We are excited to have Avah join our team," said NPCC Head Volleyball Coach Alexa McCall. "She offers some size and is also willing to do whatever the team needs. She has mostly hitting experience but does have setting experience as she ran a 6-2 with her team this year. We are excited to be able to help her develop as a player and see how she fits best into what our team needs. I think she will be a good fit to our Knights volleyball family."
