Knights Volleyball sweeps Hastings JV

The North Platte Community College Knights volleyball team collected its 10th sweep of the season Tuesday night against the Hastings JV Broncos. The scores were 25-15, 25-22 and 25-17.

"We needed to gain some confidence in our play, and I thought we did tonight," said NPCC Head Volleyball Coach Alexa McCall. "We made some good adjustments when we needed to, and I also thought we served really well. I'm glad the sophomores had this win on Sophomore Night. They are a great group that has done a lot for this program, and I'm proud of them."

Katy Bartell, of Eustis, and Kim Krise, of Briggsdale, Colo., each had 13 digs in the game. Bartell also scored three serving aces, and Krise contributed nine kills. Allie Schneider, of Humphrey, added 21 assists.

The win brings the Knights to 16-12 on the season.

Action continues at home for the Knights on Wednesday. They will face the University of Nebraska Kearney at 6 p.m. in the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium.
