NPCC Volleyball wins big in Norfolk

The winning streak continued Saturday for the North Platte Community College Knights volleyball team.

The Knights won both of their games the second day of the Northeast Volleyball Tournament in Norfolk – continuing the success of the day before.

NPCC took on Williston State College first – beating the Lady Tetons in four sets: 25-20, 17-25, 25-18 and 25-21.

"We struggled in the first two sets but then put together more consistent play in the last two," said NPCC Head Volleyball Coach Alexa McCall. "We served more aggressive and got them out of system in the last two sets, which was nice to see."

The Knights then went up against Northeast Community College, winning in three sets: 25-11, 25-14, and 25-15.

"I was really pleased with how we played in the last game," McCall said. "We finally put together a game and didn't let up. We worked really hard to get out of serve receive and also stayed real aggressive at the net. I thought we had a good weekend and am looking forward to continue some growth and experience with this team."

The Knights are now 5-2 on the season.

Their next match will be 6 p.m. Monday against Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln.
