Knights sign local product to 2022 signing class

North Platte, Neb. – Mariah Gardner becomes the first local athlete to sign with the North Platte Community College women's basketball team as part of their 2022 signing class.

The Wallace native was a key part of the Lady Wildcats success during the 2021-22 season, averaging 15 points, five rebounds and three assists per game. Gardner finished her prep career amassing over 1,000 career points, while helping the Wildcats to a 13-10 record this past season.

"I chose NPCC because it was close to home and I have a feeling I'm going to be part of something special next year," said Gardner.

Mariah is the daughter of Tina Daniels and plans on majoring in criminal justice while attending NPCC.
