Scouting The Knights

  • North Platte is back in the Northwest Plains District Championship after defeating Central Community College, 82-45, in the Region IX Championship last Saturday.
  • Sophomore guard Kayla Pope controls the Knights offense, but accounts for 14.9 points, 1.8 steals, and 3.2 assists per game this season.
  • Diamond Moore-Heath is the force inside, currently sitting second on the team in points per game (14.6), but tenth in the NJCAA with an average of 8.8 rebounds per contest.
  • Knights currently rank eleventh in offensive rebounds (17.1) and nineteenth in total rebounds per game (45.5) in the country this season.
  • Jordyn Moon, a two-year starter, ranks fifth in the nation with 118 total offensive rebounds this season. Her average of 3.8 per contest currently leads the team.
  • Fumnanya Ijeh is the Knights spark off the bench, averaging 7.1 points per game this season.
  • Forward Avery Johnson is key to the Knights dominance in the paint, averaging 4.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game off the bench.
  • Knights shoot 37.1 percent from the field, including 24.2 percent from beyond the three-point line.

Scouting The Ladyjacks

  • Dakota College at Bottineau defeated Bay College (Mich.) in the Region XIII Championship, 70-48, to punch their ticket.
  • Winners of their last four games, the Ladyjacks currently hold a 9-6 record at home this season.
  • Dakota College tallies 8.8 steals per game, which ranks them 77th in the nation.
  • Sophomore Maria Moore paces the Dakota College offensive with an average of 15.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game this season.
  • Ladyjacks currently sit fourth in nation in three-point attempts per game this season (32.0), but only shoot 29.1 percent from beyond the arc.
  • The Ladyjacks average 66.7 points (57th in the country), while shooting 36.6 percent from the field.
