Knights Softball to offer winter camp

The North Platte Community College Knights Softball Team will host a winter camp Feb. 24. Spots are limited to 20 per session. 

The first session will be for third through sixth grades from 1-2:30 p.m. at the NPCC North Campus Softball Hitting Facility, 1101 Halligan Drive, in North Platte. The focus will be on fundamentals as well as offensive and defensive skills. 

The second session will be from 2:30-4 p.m. for grades seven through 12. Instruction will cover position work, exit velocity, overhand throwing velocity, running from home to first base and home-to-home time. 

Check in will be half an hour before each session. 

The cost is $30, which includes a t-shirt. Registration can be done through NPCC Softball Head Coach Janelle Higgins at higginsj@mpcc.edu.
