NPCC tallied a total of eight hits on the day. Cameron Rollison and Esper Lewandowski each collected two.

"We battled today, just didn't score runners when we had them in position," said Janelle Higgins, NPCC head women's softball coach. "We will regroup and get back to work tomorrow."

The second game of the doubleheader was canceled due to player injuries.

North Platte is now 5-30 on the season.

The Knights will remain at home for their next set of games. They will go up against Southeast Community College Tuesday in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Games will be at the Dowhower Softball Complex in North Platte.
