Knights sign Hyannis native to 2022 signing class

North Platte, Neb. – Liam Kostman, of Hyannis, signed his letter of intent to join the North Platte Community College men's basketball team as part of their 2022 signing class.

The local product averaged 18 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in his senior season. Kostman led the Longhorns back to the Nebraska State Basketball Championships for the first time in twenty years, as his team etched their name is school history by breaking the school record for most wins (23) in a season.

Liam was chosen as a Class D2 all-state second team selection by the Lincoln Journal Star in 2022 and a two-time Mid Nebraska Activities Conference first team honoree. Kostman concludes his prep career as the Longhorns leading scorer totaling 1,348 career points, while becoming the school record holder in points (499) and blocks (54) in a season.

"North Platte has top-notch facilities," said Kostman. "I believe NPCC will provide me with a good start to my academic career and will give me a chance to be close to home."

Liam is the son of Cody Kostman and Kelly Chandler and plans to major in business administration and management.
