The Central Community College volleyball team won the Region 9 championship with a 3-0 victory at North Platte Community College on Saturday. The final scores were 28-26, 25-10 and 25-22.

Rachel Otten led the Raiders in kills with 11 while Kamryn Chohon finished with 32 assists. Chloe Odbert was tops in digs with 16.

Four Raiders were named to the All-Regional Team. They are Ashley Brown, Chloe Odbert, Emily Otten and Rachel Otten.

The 19-17 Raiders advance to the Northwest Plains District Championship on Friday and Saturday. CCC will battle the Region 13 champion, North Dakota State College of Science, in Wahpeton, N.D. The 21-9 Wildcats defeated Miles Community College on Sunday to win the region title. The district championship will utilize a best-of-three format with the first match at 7 p.m. on Friday night. The second match will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday. If a third match is necessary, it will be played in the afternoon. The series winner will advance to the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Championship, Nov. 18-20, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
