The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team (9-5) took down the North Platte Knights (9-4) 53-45 Dec. 15 at North Platte Community College as part of the North Platte Classic. The Blue Devils defense forced 30 total turnovers from the Wolves.

Jada Johnson led the Blue Devils with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Victoria Jones ended the night with 11 points, three rebounds and one assist. Sarah Khamis had a season-high eight points with two assists, two steals and one rebound. Ti'Ye Davis came off the bench and played nine minutes, ending with seven points. Kaylyn Rogers brought down eight rebounds and finished with three points.

The Knights were led by Dazjanae Greene who had 13 points and brought down three rebounds. Reece Halley tallied 11 points, four rebounds, two blocks and one assist. Jada Grigsby led the team with eight rebounds and had four points, three assists and three steals. Mariah Gardner had eight points, four rebounds and one assist.

For the game, the Lady Blue Devils shot 33.9 percent from the field (20-59), 26.1 percent from three-point range (6-23) and 38.9 percent from the free-throw line (7-18). The Knights shot 29.7 percent from the field (19-64), 10 percent from three-point range (2-20) and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line (5-6).
