The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team (2-1) defeated the North Platte Knights 54-44 Nov. 10 at Hy-Vee Arena. Jada Johnson was the only Blue Devil in double figures with 20 points while also tallying up seven rebounds (both team highs).

Poor shooting by the Knights, 14-56 from the field and 1-19 from behind the arc, was what let them down. The Knights did have three players finish in double figures, Jada Grigsby (15), Reece Halley (11) and Nariah Golden (11).

The Blue Devils held the Knights to just four points in the first quarter and managed to hold them with just one field goal (1-13). Knight redshirt sophomore, Dazjanae Greene currently averages 2.8 steals per game on the season. She tallied four steals against the Blue Devils, three of those four came in the fourth quarter.

Jada Johnson shot 50 percent from the field (7-14), but turned the ball over a seven times. Jailynn Schmaltz came off the bench and scored eight points and went 2-2 from the free throw line.
