Knights get a new look for the 2025 season

The Knights softball team opens the season at home on Wednesday against McCook Community College. North Platte will play a doubleheader with the Indians beginning at 2 p.m., before two road doubleheaders this weekend against Colby and Northeast Community College.

Knights have eleven newcomers with only one returning sophomore. North Platte will have some familiarity however as three local products, Heaven Hutchison, Alieze Moreno and Afia Hunt, previously played together at North Platte High School.

Mark Franzen leads the charge in his first year at the helm of the Knights. Franzen spent over a decade coaching local youth softball teams and now looks to bring that success to the next level.
