Knights fifth at MCC Invite

McCook, Neb. - North Platte Community College men's golf team finished fifth at the McCook Community College Invite on Friday.

Taytom Timbers led the Knights, finishing 14th after rounds of 78 and 83. Sophomore Cole Kramer was the most consistent golfer with back-to-back rounds of 82, to finish 19th in the field.

Caeson Clarke followed up his opening round 80 with an 87 on the second day to finish 23rd. Layne Smotzer finished just one stroke back from his teammate for a 24th place finish.

Knights will wrap up the fall season with the Grand View Invite at the Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny, Iowa on Oct 14-15.
