Knights wrap up play at the Northeastern Junior College Invite

Sterling, Colo. – The North Platte Community College men's golf team wrapped up two rounds of play at the Riverview Golf Course in Sterling, Colo. on Friday.

Knights finished the tournament in sixth place with a 36-hole total of 632 (+64).

Tristen Timbers led the way with back-to-back rounds of 76 to finish tied for 21st place in the field. Layne Smotzer tallied three birdies on the final day to finish tied for 24th after a final round of 77.

Treyten York saw a five-shot improvement from his opening round to finish the tournament 17-over par. Taytom Timbers rounded out the top four with rounds of 81 and 79 to finish tied for 33rd in the standings.

Knights will return to the course on Friday, Oct. 4 for the two-day Hastings College Invite in Hastings.
